Paul Cresey was born December 20th 1989 in Edmonton, Alberta and is currently a student at the University of Alberta.  He received his first guitar at the age of ten only to find out that he was left handed, so the guitar gathered some dust under the stairs.  It was only when, on a road trip to West Edmonton Mall to pick up his brother's keyboard, and with a lot of begging, did his mother and father purchase him his first left handed guitar.

At first song writing came hard to Paul and he struggled to write his first song "The Letter", a song about conscription and war.  After writing this song, the lyrics began to flow and he soon followed with many others.  His first band, officially, was a garage band with no name that played for friends at parties.  After attending the Edmonton Folk Festival for the first time in 2003, Paul began to find his niche for acoustic finger-picking guitar.
