I play a style of music called rock/blues. It is traditional blues played with a rock feel. The rhythm section has a very traditional feel but my solos are very aggressive. I also fuse elements of jazz into my compositions. You may call what I play "Blusion". Many of the songs I write are about my personal experiences and on going battle with depression. An example would be the track called "Flirtin with the Blues". I wrote this in about 5 minutes on the NJ Turnpike; this track can be found on my 2005 95 North Records release called "Flirtin' With The Blues". I am currently working on a new cd called called "Flirtin' Acoustic". This cd will be an acoustic recording of personal compositions and interpretations of some of my favorite blues classics. This will be released in the Spring of 2007. I perform about 250 dates a year between the US,Canada,and Europe. While in Europe I perform often with the original rhythm section of the legendary blues band The Groundhogs. This includes Pete Cruickshank on bass and Ken Pustelnik on drums. We have signed with Bristol,UK based label Invada Records and will be releasing a new cd called "Hog Ties" in late 2007. Myself and the "Hogs"rhythm have already began recording. Currently we have a track featured on the 95 North Records release called"Fins',Chrome, And The Open Road". The track title is "Cadillac Baby". Other artists on the release are Maria Muldaur,Charlie Musclewhite,Kim Wilson,Rory block, and Rosie Flores to name a few. You may purchase my cds'at www.guitar9.com.
